Analytics with an analyst built in

Your numbers,
with notes in the margin.

MetricMind collects traffic, performance and errors without cookies. Then a built-in AI analyst reads them for you. It explains what changed, shows the evidence, and suggests what to do next.

Analyst note · This morning

Visitors jumped 2.4× on the 16th. 71% came from news.ycombinator.com and landed on /pricing. Signups held at 3.1%, so the traffic was qualified. Worth a follow-up post while it’s warm.

An analyst that never
stops reading.

Dashboards wait for you to notice. MetricMind’s analyst notices first, checks the obvious explanations, and only speaks up when a change is real.

Why did signups drop this week?

  1. Compared with last week
  2. Checked funnel steps
  3. Matched against deploys
Show the query
SELECT step, count() AS visitors
FROM funnel_events
WHERE funnel = 'signup'
AND ts >= now() - INTERVAL 7 DAY
GROUP BY step ORDER BY step

MetricMind: Signups are down 19%, almost all on mobile at the email-verification step. It started right after Tuesday’s release, which changed the verification screen. Rolling that copy back on mobile is the likeliest fix.

Sample conversation

  • Ask in plain words

Which campaign brought the visitors who stayed? Which page got slower? Ask the way you’d ask a colleague. Every answer shows the query behind it, so you can check the work.

  • A morning briefing, not an alarm

Every day at 9:00 in your timezone, it compares the last seven days with the seven before — across traffic, funnels, errors, Web Vitals and deploys. Normal weekday swings and changes on tiny numbers never reach you; only what needs a decision does.

  • Evidence before opinions

Every finding lists what was checked (traffic, funnels, errors, Web Vitals, deploys) and what was ruled out, then ends in a next step: an action, a question, or “keep watching”. When the data can’t explain a change, it says so instead of guessing.

  • Where your team already is

Briefings land in Slack as threaded updates in an Impact / Next format, and in your inbox. Your coding agent gets a scoped MCP key — it can read insights and investigations, and create funnels, goals and flags.

What it reads,
from one script.

Most teams stitch together an analytics tool, a performance monitor and an error tracker. MetricMind collects all three from the same visit, so the analyst can connect them.

  1. 01

    Traffic analytics

Pages, referrers, UTM campaigns, countries, devices and outbound links. Sessions end after thirty idle minutes, the way people actually browse.

  2. 02

    Web Vitals

LCP, INP, CLS, FCP and TTFB from real visitors, broken down by page and device, so you fix the slow route instead of guessing.

  3. 03

    Error tracking

Uncaught exceptions and failed promises grouped by message and page, next to the traffic that hit them.

  4. 04

    Events & funnels

Track sign-ups and purchases with one call, or tag an element with data-track. Build funnels and goals the analyst keeps an eye on.

  5. 05

    Feature flags

Roll out to a percentage of anonymous visitors, and the analyst tells you whether the metrics moved.

  6. 06

    Uptime

Checks from multiple regions, with alerts before your users notice.

Set up before your coffee cools.

  1. 1

    Add one tag

Drop the script in your <head>. It loads deferred, configures itself from data attributes, and never blocks rendering.

    <script src="https://cdn.metricmind.si/mm.js"
      data-site="YOUR_SITE_ID" defer></script>
  2. 2

    Data flows in quietly

Pageviews, vitals and errors are batched into small requests, with no cookies and no personal profiles. Even the last pageview leaves with sendBeacon when the tab closes.

    mm.track("signup", { plan: "pro" })
  3. 3

    Read the briefing

Your analyst starts learning your normal from day one. Ask it anything, or wait for the first morning briefing.

    “What changed since Monday?”
“We count visits. We don’t collect people.”
  • No cookies. Visits are measured with first-party storage you can clear at any time.
  • No fingerprinting and no cross-site tracking, ever.
  • The AI analyst works on aggregated metrics, never on individual visitors.
  • IP addresses are used for country lookup, then discarded.
  • Data hosted in the European Union.
  • Opting out is one call — mm.optOut() — or clear your site data. Measurement stops and the stored IDs are deleted.

Questions, answered.

Will the analyst change anything on its own?

No. It can suggest a fix, like repairing a funnel step that stopped matching traffic after a route rename, but nothing changes until you approve it.

How is MetricMind different from Databuddy?

Databuddy pioneered analytics with a built-in AI analyst, and we’re fans of the idea. MetricMind is an independent implementation — clean-room, no AGPL code — with hosting in the EU, a stricter noise filter, and first-class MCP access for coding agents.

What data does the AI see?

Your question and the aggregated metrics needed to answer it. It never receives individual visitor records, because we don’t keep any.

Can it be wrong?

Yes, which is why every answer shows its query and every finding lists its evidence. When the data doesn’t point to a cause, the analyst says so.

Do I still need a cookie banner?

MetricMind sets no cookies and builds no profiles, which removes the most common reason for one. Your legal obligations depend on your jurisdiction and the rest of your stack, so check with your counsel.

Will it slow my site down?

The script loads with defer, batches network calls, and uses idle time for non-urgent work. Your visitors won’t feel it.

Does it work with single-page apps?

Yes. Client-side navigation in Next.js, React Router, Vue and others is picked up automatically.

Stop staring at dashboards. Read the briefing.
